Hello and welcome to my blog! I’m so excited to be joining this blog hop, celebrating the February release from Alex Syberia Designs!

If you’re following along the blog hop, you should have arrived here from Erin Thompson. I’ll list all of today’s blog hop participants below, if you want to start at the beginning.
My card features the new Cindy Lou’s Poppies stamp set and the Large Thanks Hot Foil Plate.

I thought I’d try recessed stamping, a technique I haven’t done for a while. Rather than adding dimension to the die cut images, you add dimension to the card base and set back the images.
I stamped images from the Cindy Lou’s Poppies stamp set and coloured them with copic markers. I then die cut them with the coordinating dies.

On a panel of 4.75” square white card, I stamped the two poppy images. I repeated this step on 3 more panels, then used the coordinating dies to cut out the images. They can be used on another card.
On one of these panels, I adhered the flower bud, stems and leaves. Where some images overlapped the die cut areas, I used the poppy dies again to get a matching cut edge. I then adhered the other 3 panels behind for dimension.

I adhered the stacked panel to a square card base, then added the poppy images I’d coloured and die cut into the spaces to complete the recessed stamping look.
For the sentiment, I used the new Large Thanks Hot Foil Plate. I foiled the plate on black card with Spellbinders gold foil, using the glimmer machine. I then used the shadow die from the new Large Thanks die set to cut out the foiled sentiment.
To finish, I adhered the sentiment to the card, with some extra die cuts behind, just where it overlapped the recessed areas.

Copic markers:
- Poppies: R20-29, Y15, N5
- Leaves: G43-46

This is my kind of card-fairly clean and simple. Your coloring is great-so vibrant and outstanding. I’m not a foiler (yet) but the gold Thanks could easily be replicated with embossing. Beautiful card.
