Today I’m sharing cards made with the Spellbinders May 2023 Glimmer Hot Foil and Stitching clubs.

Club Details
The Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil club is a monthly subscription and a great way to build your collection of glimmer plates and foils.
You will need the Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil machine to use with this subscription, plus a compatible die cutting machine. I used my Spellbinders Platinum 6 machine. A list of compatible machines is available on the Spellbinders website.
The Stitching Die of the Month is a new club for 2023. It’s a great way to add detail and texture to projects.
For those that want to join multiple clubs and save, Spellbinders offers Value Clubs.
Stitching Die Club
This month, you get the Stitched Balloon Card Front set, with 1 cutting die. It cuts an A2 panel, with both stitched and regular balloon dies.

I used the die to cut a panel of silver pearl sparkle card. In order to get balloons in different colours, I also die cut the panel from 7 other colours of card. I can use these panels to make more cards.
Next, I used a previously released glimmer plate to add gold foil confetti to the silver panel. I then foiled, in gold, a sentiment from another previously released glimmer set. I used the coordinating banner die to cut it out. I’ll link to both sets at the end of the post.

I used gold thread to add pretty stitching details to the seven balloons.
Before adhering the silver panel to my card base, I used some coloured pencils to add the same colour behind the balloon spaces that the die has cut. This will show through the stitching holes and around the edges of the balloons, where I add dimension.
The die leaves indentations so you can see where to add the other balloons. I adhered the light pink and yellow balloons with liquid glue, then the rest of the balloons with foam tape.
Finally, I added the foiled strip sentiment with foam tape.

Glimmer Hot Foil Club
This month, you get the Silhouette Balloon Greetings set, with 3 hot foil plates and 8 cutting dies. There is also an add-on set, called Balloon Greeting Sentiments, with 2 hot foil plates and 4 cutting dies.

This fun set creates a large balloon outline with a choice of different foiled greetings to go across the centre. This would work well for shaker cards.
I foiled the large happy birthday greeting in the centre of an A2 panel of silver pearl sparkle card. I then used the coordinating dies to cut around the sentiment, and then the balloon dies to create the shape.

As with my stitching card, I foiled the same confetti glimmer plate on the panel with gold foil.
I chose some pretty rainbow patterned paper and adhered it to my card base. I then added some dimension behind the silver panel before adhering it to the card base to finish.
