Today I’m sharing cards made with products from the Spellbinders It’s My Party Collection by Carissa Wiley.
I’m using the Giant Party Balloon and It’s My Party Glimmer Sentiments sets on my cards today.
Card 1
For my first card, I used the Giant Party Balloon glimmer set. Using Aura foil, I foiled the large balloon and string on gold satin mirror card stock.
I used the largest die in the set to die cut out the balloon and the coordinating die to cut out the string. The string can be attached, using the slit that the die creates.
Next, I foiled the beautiful happy birthday sentiment, from the same set, with black foil on more of the gold satin mirror card stock. I then used the coordinating die to cut it out. I adhered this sentiment on top of the balloon
On a slimline card base (3.5 x 6″), I adhered a piece of stripy patterned paper. I then offset the giant balloon slightly off the right edge, trimming away anything overhanging.
For an additional sentiment, I chose a hot foil plate from the It’s My Party glimmer sentiments set. I used Matte Gold foil on Pearl White card, then the coordinating die to cut it out. I added extra layers behind for some dimension before adhering to my card.
Card 2
The Giant Party Balloon glimmer set is also great for shaker cards.
I foiled the large balloon and balloon string with Matte Gold foil on pearl white card stock. I used the coordinating dies to cut them both out. There is a smaller circle die included in the set to cut out the centre of the balloon.
I built up my shaker wall with six layers of card rings, then a backing layer of pearl white card. I adhered a few confetti pieces onto the backing layer, so some would always be visible at the top of the balloon. I then added some more of the pretty confetti mix inside the shaker.
I used the larger die to cut out some acetate, adhering this behind the front layer, then sealing up my shaker balloon.
On an A2 card base, I adhered a piece of striped patterned paper. I then added my shaker balloon to the card.
As with my previous card, I chose a hot foil plate from the It’s My Party glimmer sentiments set. I used Matte Gold foil on Pearl White card, then the coordinating die to cut it out. I added extra layers behind for some dimension.
I adhered this sentiment on top of my shaker balloon to finish.
