I love bold graphic style designs and die sets are a great way to get this look. I’m using the Jack die set on my Halloween card today.

I began by choosing a range of fun colours of card and die cutting the different pumpkins and stalks from the Jack die set. I also die cut them again from black card.
The Jack die set also has a great selection of different faces that can be cut from the pumpkins. I love all the expressions! Once the faces were cut, I then layered the black card pumpkins behind so it showed through. This wasn’t strictly necessary, as I’ll be layering them on a black background, but the extra die cut behind each pumpkin gives some added dimension.

Next, I worked on my background. I die cut the Gallery Frame #7 die from a pearl sparkle black card. I’m just using the stitched frame on my card today, but can keep the other pieces for another card.
I cut a piece of textured black card to 5.25″ square and adhered it to a square card base of the same size. I then added the frame on top with foam tape, for some dimension.

I arranged the pumpkins on my card, leaving a space for my sentiment. For the sentiment, I die cut one of the Word Bubbles from blue card. I then die cut the word ‘boo’ using the Jane Small Alpha die set. The letters have two extra layers behind for dimension.
To finish, I added white gel pen details to the pumpkins.
