Today's card features the MFT Big Balloons stencil. On watercolour cardstock, I used distress inks and the stencil to add three balloons. I flicked water over the distress ink to remove some colour for interest. I used a heat gun to dry the card. I added a sentiment from the MFT Birthday Greetings stamp set and… Continue reading MFT Big Balloons Stencil

Spinner card
I thought I'd have a go at making a spinner card, which seem popular at the moment. I admit, this attempt didn't go quite to plan, as I think I could have used better thread. The one I used keeps loosening, no matter how much tape I use! Never mind, it's fun to experiment and… Continue reading Spinner card
Die Cut Watercolouring
I wanted to do a watercolour leaf background, but don't have a set of leaf stamps to heat emboss. Here's how I created this card: I used the MFT Leafy Greenery dies to create masks from full sticky post it notes. I stuck these down on a piece of watercolour card. I chose some colours… Continue reading Die Cut Watercolouring
Fuchsia Fairy
For my nieces birthday back in April, I created a poppy fairy card, with help from my sister, who designed the fairy. My eldest niece had her 3rd birthday this month, so we thought she should have a fairy card too. This time we made a fuchsia fairy card. Most of the steps for this… Continue reading Fuchsia Fairy
Cinderella Birthday Card
Fairytale cards are so fun to make! This one is for my niece who turned 3 this month. She loves princesses and pink. I stamped the Cinderella and carriage images from the Clearly Besotted Once Upon a Time stamp set and coloured them in with promarkers. I added some Wink of Stella glitter to the… Continue reading Cinderella Birthday Card
Inspired by Pinterest #6
I saw the most stunning card by the wonderful May Sukyong Park, and I just had to have a go at recreating it. I encourage you to take a look at May's blog as she is incredibly talented. I started by prepping a piece of white cardstock with an anti-static powder tool. I stamped some… Continue reading Inspired by Pinterest #6
WPlus9 Summer Blooms
You can never have enough floral stamp sets, right? That's what I tell myself and there are just so many fabulous sets to choose from too. WPlus9 released a fun floral set recently. It's called Summer Blooms and has flowers that can be stamped together or individually, so it makes it a very versatile set.… Continue reading WPlus9 Summer Blooms
Mama Elephant Trifecta
I love all the geometric designs I've been seeing on cards recently. I think they work for lots of occasions, and are great on masculine cards. Having said that, they also work well for feminine cards, like this one which I created using the Mama Elephant Trifecta stamp set. I started by white heat embossing the… Continue reading Mama Elephant Trifecta
Stunning Shadow Stamping
The final challenge at MFT Camp Create is 'Stunning Shadow Stamping'. This is one of my favourite card techniques at the moment, especially with Kraft card. I decided today to try a different colour card base instead. I was inspired by a monochromatic card shared on the MFT blog, made by Stephanie Klauk. I thought… Continue reading Stunning Shadow Stamping
Single Layer Savvy
Today I'm sharing a card I made for the 'Single Layer Savvy' challenge at MFT Camp Create. I stamped a bear and sentiment from the MFT Beary Special Birthday stamp set onto white card. I coloured the image with Copics and promarkers, adding glitter to the cake. I trimmed down the panel to fit within an… Continue reading Single Layer Savvy
