Today I’m sharing my last entry in the MFT Card Design Superstar competition. This is for the Innovation Master category.
I decided to make a pop up card with a party theme. These hippos are having a great time!
I used my new distress oxides to add colour to the card base on the front and on the inside, flicking it with lots water and also watered down distress oxide inks for some fun detail. I also cut a panel for the pop up elements, adding colour in the same way.
I die cut an MFT stitched speech bubble and stamped a sentiment from MFT Handwritten Happiness. I adhered it to the card front, along with a hippo with balloons, and a little bird. All the images were coloured with copics.
I die cut three MFT narrow pop up elements from the smaller panel. I adhered this to the inside, then added some more images from the Happy Hippos stamp set.
Finally, I added a second greeting on the inside of the card, also from the MFT Handwritten Happiness stamp set.
I’ve had a lot of fun joining in with the superstar competition this year. MFT really do the best competitions.
Gorgeous 😍
