Handmade Cards, Pretty Pink Posh DT

Bunny Friends

Today I’m sharing an Easter card, featuring the adorable new Bunny Friends stamp set and the Happy Easter script die by Pretty Pink Posh. These are both part of the next release, arriving on March 1st!

When I started making this card, I had a slightly different plan of what I wanted. If I had known I would change my mind part way through, it would have been a much easier and quicker card to make!

I began by stamping images from the Bunny Friends stamp in black ink onto a white card panel, to create a background pattern.

I masked the images, then blended on some shaded lilac distress oxide ink all over the panel. I had planned on colouring the images with copics. As it turned out, I needn’t have spent time masking or even stamping the images on the panel at all!

I coloured and die cut some bunnies with the coordinating dies, to try out different colours prior to colouring directly on the panel. However, when I placed these on top of the stamped images to see how the colours looked, I really liked the look of the die cut images.

So, I went with this new plan and adhered die cut images all over the panel, covering up the images I’d stamped. Then I trimmed away any overhang. I really like the subtle dimension of the die cuts.

For the sentiment, I die cut the new Happy Easter Script die three times from white card, and once from pink glitter paper. I’d added some stick-it adhesive first so they were easy to layer together for a dimensional look.

I finished the card with some jewels in pansy purple and pink blush. These are also part of the new March release and are definitely not to be missed!
