Hello Bluebird July Background Bash Day 1

Welcome to day 1 of the Hello Bluebird Background Bash! The design team are sharing cards to celebrate the release of some fabulous new background stamps on Friday 26 July.

As the previously released background stamps will also be restocked, I’ll be showcasing new ways to use a couple of them. My card today uses the Hello Bluebird Falling Snow background stamp. By using rainbow colours, it becomes a confetti background, perfect for a celebration card.

I stamped the background with distress oxide inks in Abandoned Coral, Carved Pumpkin, Squeezed Lemonade, Mowed Lawn, Salty Ocean, Wilted Violet, and Picked Raspberry.

I then heat embossed the background with WOW Neutral Ultra Shimmer embossing powder to get some sparkle.

I added some images from the Hello Bluebird Field Mice stamp set and stamped a sentiment from the Hello Bluebird Typed Everyday stamp set.

I cut a thin strip of grey card to act as a ground for the mice, then adhered a border around the whole card base. This is from one of the Hello Bluebird scene dies – they all have these thin borders that fit an A2 card perfectly.

As a finishing touch, I used some Wink of Stella clear glitter on the balloon, then covered with glossy accents.
