Spellbinders February 2020 Glimmer Hot Foil Kit

Today I’m sharing a card I made with the Spellbinders February 2020 Glimmer Hot Foil kit and the add-on set.

This month, you get Art Studio Glimmer, a set of 3 plates and 3 dies to create artistic foiled circle patterns on your projects. Also included is a roll of gold foil.

The Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil kit is a monthly subscription and a great way to build your collection of glimmer plates and foils.

You will need the Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil machine to use with this subscription, plus a compatible die cutting machine. I used my Spellbinders Platinum 6 machine. A list of compatible machines is available on the Spellbinders website.

One of my favourite ways to use foiling and glimmer plates is to create beautiful one layer cards. The foiled details really shine, making any design look special.

I chose two patterned papers from Spellbinders – one from the Super Chill paper pad and the other from the Unicorn Dreams paper pad, which is part of the February 2020 card kit of the month (also available separately).

I cut both papers to fit an A2 white notecard, then foiled a sentiment on each from the Spellbinders Everyday Sentiments II set, using the gold foil included in the February kit.

Next, I used the same gold foil with the Art Studio Glimmer plates, to add foiled patterns to the backgrounds.

I adhered the patterned paper to my note cards to finish these fun abstract one-layer cards.
