For my card today, I’m using the new Paper Boat Girl digital stamp from Rachelle Anne Miller. This was originally released with a boy in the boat and now is available with a girl too.

I printed the image at 75% on white card, then cut the panel down to A2 size, with the image positioned over to the left.
Using a full sticky post-it note, I created a simple mask for the bottom of the boat. I layered the Newton’s Nook Waves Stencil over the panel, masking it so only one line of waves is showing.

I inked through the stencil with clear embossing ink, removed the stencil, and embossed the pattern with WOW Aquamarine embossing glitter. This is a translucent powder, so the printed lines underneath will show through.
I coloured the image with copic markers, being careful to not touch any embossing with the markers as this can damage the tips. If recreating this card, I’d do the copic colouring first.

I adhered the panel to a card base, then found a lovely sentiment from the Lawn Fawn Mermaid For You stamp set to add in the white space.
A simple line of embossing gives so much movement to this image, it really doesn’t need anything else to tell the story. That’s what I love about CAS cards.
Thanks for joining me. I’ve included links to both the Paper Boat Girl and Paper Boat Boy images below.
