Spellbinders Stitchmas Christmas Collection

Today I’m sharing a card made with products from the Spellbinders Stitchmas Christmas Collection.

I’m using the Stitched Diamond Argyle background on my card today. There are two dies in the set – the stitched pattern background along with a rectangle outer frame die.

I began by die cutting the background and frame from a piece of white sparkle card.

I used different colours of embroidery thread, along with some gold sparkle thread, to add the stitching detail to the background. The die cut panel also looks beautiful without stitching, if you prefer.

Using just the frame panel from the Stitched Diamond Argyle set, I cut a piece of gold mirror card to layer behind the embroidered panel. The colour will show through the holes. I then adhered this to an A2 card base.

For the sentiment, I used the Merry Glimmer Sentiments set from another new Spellbinders collection. I chose three of the glimmer plate words, foiling them with gold foil on red sparkle card. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out, adding two more die cut layers behind the words, then adhering them to my card to finish.
