Panda Party

I have a fun party card to share today, featuring the Pretty Pink Posh Layered Party Hats stencil.

This stencil has 4 parts. I inked them with distress oxides – I’ll list all the colours at the end of the post.

I trimmed the panel down, then added a piece of vellum over the top, secured at the back. This helps to soften the strong colours and give more focus to elements at the front.

I added the panel to a mini slimline car base, with a few Stitched Strips to coordinate with the colours of the stencilled background. I left space at the bottom of the card base to stamp a sentiment from the Simple Sentiments stamp set.

I wanted to have a panda holding balloons on my card. I selectively stamped the panda from Heart Critters, removing the ink from the rose and stem it was holding. I used the coordinating die to cut it out, then fussy cut to remove the pieces not stamped.

I added some balloons to my card, from the Birthday Balloons stamp set, followed by the panda and a balloon string for him to hold.
