MFT Sketch Challenge 287

I’m playing along with the MFT Sketch #287 today. I thought I’d combine it with the colours from their colour challenge #48.

I started by die cutting a tag using the MFT Stitched Traditional Tags die set. I lightly drew a circle on the tag in pencil, by drawing around one of my circle dies.

To add some interest to the tag, I used the MFT Distressed Patterns stamp set to add splatters. This stamp set is brilliant when you need more control over splatters, and less mess too.

I stamped some flowers and leaves from the MFT Mini Modern Blooms stamp set and used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I arranged these on the tag following the circle I’d drawn. When I was happy with the layout, I stuck them down on the card. I added foam tape to a couple of flowers for added dimesion.

I used a die from the Lawn Fawn Everyday Sentiment Banner die set to cut a flag banner, then heat embossed a sentiment from the MFT Birthday Greetings Stamps set in silver.

I attached the tag to an A6 card, then used foam tape to attach the banner over the tag.

  1. Awesome job combining these two challenges! I especially like your turquoise flowers. I also love how you used a lot of white space. Works wonderfully!
