Christmas, Handmade Cards

Christmas in July Part 1

I’ve started thinking about Christmas and making my own cards this year. If I don’t start making them early, I know I won’t be ready.

For this card, I’ve used the colours from the Seven Hills Crafts July competition. Although it’s a summery colour scheme, I think it works well for an alternative Christmas colour scheme too.

I choose a bright pink A2 notecard from the Avery Elle Sugar Collection notecards. I die cut from white card the largest rectangle from the MFT Inside & Out Stitched Rectangle STAX Dienamics.

I stamped the border triangles from the Mama Elephant Trifecta stamp set twice with versamark ink, then heat embossed it with glitter gold embossing powder.

I stamped randomly inside the embossed triangles, in pink and green, the four different triangles from the set, leaving some gaps. Then I stamped a sentiment from the MFT Hand Lettered Holiday stamp set in bright pink above the triangles.

I’m entering this card into the Seven Hills Crafts July Challenge.
