MFT Sketch Challenge 367 – Guest Designer

I’m back for my 2nd week as MFT Sketch Challenge guest designer!

Here is a link to this week’s competition, where you can see more inspiration from the fabulous MFT Design Team. I hope you’ll join in with this fun challenge!

The amazing Monster Sized stamp set and dienamics are taking centre stage on my card this week. This is a new set from the January 2018 release from MFT. I just love these monsters!

I began by embossing a white card base with stars, using the dienamics that cut the stars in the set. I wanted some detail on the card base, but as I’m adding patterned paper plus a panel in the middle, it needed to be subtle.

I cut a strip of black and white patterned paper to adhere to the left side of the card base, and used a thin strip of silver glitter paper along the edge.

I die cut a rounded rectangle frame, and added a blend of distress oxide ink on the inner rectangle. The orange red blend really stands out against the black and white on the card

Next, I chose three of the monsters from the set, colouring them with copics then diecutting them out with the coordinating dienamics. I added these to the rectangle panel, cutting away anything outside the frame. I then added the rectangle and frame to the card base.

Finally, I added a black card slanted sentiment strip with a heat embossed greeting to finish the card.

Thanks for joining me today. I hope that you will have a go at the MFT sketch challenge this week.
