25 Days of Christmas Tags 2018 – Hello Bluebird

Today I’m pleased to be joining in another day of the 8th Annual 25 Days of Christmas Tags event, which is organised by Tracey McNeely at her blog – In My Creative Opinion.

I’m sharing some tags I made with the cute Snow Play set from Hello Bluebird, who is the sponsor today. Here is a link to today’s post so you can see lots of fabulous inspiration.

I decided to go for a one layer, clean and simple design for these tags. I stamped greetings and critters onto some white tags, then coloured the images with Copic Markers. I added dots of the BG11 marker for falling snow. I used the same marker to add some snow under the feet of the critters, which I blended out with the BG70 marker.

Next, I added dots with an embossing pen to the sky and some lines under the critters feet, then embossed them with WOW Diamond White embossing glitter.

To bring some more of the teal colour into the design, I layered a teal tag behind each tag. I offset them so the teal showed at the bottom a little. This has the added benefit of covering up where the copic colour bleeds to the back of the card.

I finished by adding some white and black gel pen details, along with some string to each tag.

Here is a link to the main post all about the 25 Days of Christmas Tags event, and how you can join in for a chance to win some great prizes. I hope you’ll feel inspired to have a go at making some tags too.

  3. Your tags are just precious! The images are adorable and the tag design is so clean and crisp looking. I love the little touches of sparkling snow. Your tags remind me of the specialty tags I would scour little shops for years ago. Thanks for sharing these!

  4. Clean and simple and so cute.
I worry about spending a lot of time
making fussy tags and wonder if the
    recipient will treasure them or
throw them in the trash (I’ve
    watched that happen). Thanks
    for sharing darling tags.
