Hello and welcome to my blog! I’m so excited to be joining this Spellbinders blog hop today!
If you’re following along the blog hop, you should have arrived here from the fabulous Sandra Nagel. I’ll list all of today’s blog hop participants below, if you want to start at the beginning.
I have three cards to share today, featuring the new cut and emboss folders from Spellbinders. These embossing folders have etched dies embedded inside so they cut and emboss in one pass. The results are beautiful and unique.
I began by running some pink card stock through my Spellbinders Platinum 6 machine with the Flower Garden Cut and Emboss folder. The sandwich to use with this machine is: platform plate, cut and emboss folder with the card inside and one cutting plate.
I treated the card with an anti static powder, then used a Versamark pen to colour in areas on the card to heat emboss. I used WOW Metallic Gold Rich embossing powder. Once I’d added all my heat embossed areas, I used the Versamark pen once again to colour in areas of the design that I wanted to be darker but not heat embossed. This works really well on coloured card stock and adds even more depth to the design.
I added the panel to a white card base. The cut areas of the design look great with the white showing through. I finished the card with a white heat embossed greeting from Pretty Pink Posh Love Sentiments stamp set.
I used this same technique for two more cards.
This card features the Baroque Filigree Cut and Emboss folder with Avery Elle Rose Gold embossing powder, as I love the look of rose gold and navy together.
The greeting is from the Pretty Pink Posh Love Sentiments stamp set and I added some PPP Pearl White jewels too.
My final card features the Floret Cluster Cut and Emboss folder.
I heat embossed some areas with WOW Metallic Platinum embossing powder.
The greeting is from the Pretty Pink Posh Everyday Greetings stamp set.

Your cards are really lovely! If I had to choose a favorite one, it would be the “Love is…”! I’m pretty partial to pink! (; I would have never thought to use my embossing pen like you did ! So clever!
